Where is the RSS feed?
Waiting for a valid and supportable RSS spec!
Seriously though, I'm more than willing to support RSS 1.0 or 1.1 but many aggregators seem to have serious problems dealing with RDF content. I will never support versions which lack a useful and coherent spec such as RSS 2.0.
I'd actually prefer to only support Atom for basic "feed" support, but if you use an aggregator that supports RSS 1.0 or 1.1 but not Atom it is probably only a 15 minute job to add the generator.
How do I post a comment?
I'm yet to figure out a decent way to stop comment spam, and I'm just not interested in dealing with it. You can always drop me a mail if you wish to make a comment though.
Implementing some form of trackbacks/pingbacks is high on my to-do list right now, and that should be done within the next month or so. If they turn out not to be significant spam traps that will hopefully become the best way to comment.
This site looks funny
[Okay, so it isn't a question but it comes up enough.]
I do apologise, but I probably don't have access to the browser you're using to test with. If you report it to me I'll do my very best to fix it, if it doesn't mean producing invalid markup or breaking the layout for standards compliant browsers.
And of course, I'm also not a designer by any stretch of the imagination. My colour scheme probably sucks and my idea of usable layout probably doesn't match yours. If you've thought of an improvement I'm very likely to accept it if you just drop me a mail :)
Why generate Atom feeds when your site is hAtom-encoded?
[And this one has only been asked twice...]
I only create an Atom feed for the global updates now, and I've entirely dropped support for per category or per entry Atom feeds. I'm probably quite likely to drop updates.atom in favour of an hAtom encoded updates page at some too.
I should perhaps mention that updates.atom is generated using the hAtom encoded pages, there isn't a secondary data source or transformation process required to generate it.
What happened to the blog?
I became uninterested in updating it and so it is gone. Maybe at some point in the future it, or something like it, will be resurrected.
